Flag Day, My actual Birthday

On Friday June 14th which was my actual birthday and Flag Day we started the day in the hotel with trying to get a few pictures of the kids together. These were our attempts...

After the photo shoot we headed to the tennis courts to hit around for a few minutes. A few minutes was the right way to put it because Lauren didn't really want to play with her toys on the sidelines and baby Hugh decided he wanted to be held. We knew it wouldn't last long but had fun for the few minutes we were able to hit. From there we headed back to the hotel to change for one more last dip in the pool. After that we loaded up our car and hit a really cute lunch spot in Coronado. Trey and I split an Italian Sub and a Meatball Sub, both were great. By the time lunch was done we loaded up and hit the road north to Papa and Grandma  B's. Bye Coronado...we will be back.

Papa and Grandma B were nice enough to watch the kids so Trey and I could go out to dinner alone to celebrate my thirty ahem...plus years;)

Here is B with the Little Man

Trey and I ended up walking up Del Mar and grabbing a drink at a wine bar and listening to a band and from there we went to a fabulous restaurant called Nick's. My birthday meal was pretty spectacular. We ordered the following:to die for Tuna Tartare, Fried Deviled Eggs ( Trey humored me because it was my birthday and I knew I would bring home the leftovers to Papa and B because they would like them as much as me), blackened brussel sprout (melt in your mouth good!!) and the following entrees...

**I took pictures because you have to see it to believe the portion size.

Fried Chicken on mashed potatoes with biscuits and corn.
 Pork Ribs with shoestring fries.
2006 bottle of Opolo Sangiovese from our wine tasting adventures a few years ago.
